This contest is open to all women of color in the permanent makeup (PMU) industry whose majority client base consists of people of color. This includes but is not limited to Black, Hispanic, Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern, Arab, and other women of color representing diverse backgrounds.
There are 10 categories. Participants can nominate themselves or be nominated by others in one or more categories.
ALL FINALISTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE GALA! If you are unable to attend all four days of the conference, we are pleased to offer you a *special gala ticket* at a discounted price, ensuring you can join us for the celebration.
Voting Process:
Phase 1: NOMINATIONS (selection of 5 Semi-Finalists)
Deadline: April 1st
Each person can nominate 1 artist per category (including themselves).Nominations must include the artist’s IG handle (ex: @JaneDoeBeauty)
The top 5 artists with the most nominations in each category will advance to the semi-finals.
Phase 2: SEMI-FINALISTS VOTING
Deadline: May 1st
Each voter can cast one (1) vote per category (any other votes will not be applied towards tally)
The top 2 artists with the most votes in each category will advance to the final round.
Phase 3: WINNER SELECTION Winners announced at the Gala: July 14
A panel of judges (industry experts) will evaluate the top 2 finalists in each category based on pre-defined criteria (e.g., skill, knowledge, creativity, portfolio, etc.) and select 1 winner per category.Winners will be announced at the award ceremony on July 14th - The PMU WOC Honors
